Library
The college Library has an adequate but steadily growing collection of books and journals on various subjects.
The college issues an Identity Card and a borrower's ticket to each student at the beginning of
the year A student can obtain a book against his/her Identity Card which he/she must read in
the reading hall of the Library only. If he/she wishes to borrow a book for home reading he/she can
get it against the borrower's ticket. A student should take utmost care in respect of the Identity
Card and borrower's ticket, as they will be responsible for the loss of materials issued against
the card or the ticket. If a student loses his/her Identity Card or the borrower's ticket, he/she
should immediately bring it to the notice of the Librarian in writing.
The Librarian will issue a duplicate Identity Card against a payment of Rs. 50/-
Sports And Gymkhana
The college organises Annual Sports Competition in indoor and outdoor games
like Athletics, Volleyball, Kabbadi, Table Tennis, Boxing, Chess, Karate etc.
Special consideration is shown by the college to students who have bright
records in sports. The college even encourages meritorious sports persons to
participate in inter college, inter university or national level tournaments. Rigorous
and daily training and practice ensures success for our players. The college is also
planning to acquire an independent playground and a well equipped gymkhana in
future.
Other Academic Activities
The college has set up a few Associations and Clubs and several plans are chalked out
and activities carried out by the concerned teachers and students. Projects, guest
lectures, slide shows, exhibitions, film shows, quiz programmes, study tours,
industrial visits Soft Skill Development Programme, Lecturer Series of MPSC & UPSE
exam etc. are undertaken to give sufficient exposure to the students.
Co-Curricular Activities
Different co-curricular activities like elocution, poetry reading, debating, quiz,
essay writing, sessions or competitions etc. are conducted throughout the year to
encourage talented students and to provide them with a platform. The most
deserving students are rewarded. The college invites students to participate in inter
class and inter college cultural competitions. Besides, each department organizes a
welcome party and a send-off for its students and the initiative is mostly taken by the
students themselves. We even hold a "Bhondla" a celebration of the season for girl
students only.
N.C.C
The college provides N.C.C. training facilities to N.C.C. cadets. Seventy five
students can join 3 Maharashtra Armd. Sqn. N.C.C.The enrolled cadets are given
vigorous training in drilling, parading, shooting, climbing difficult terrain and even
traffic controlling.
N.S.S
The N.S.S. unit of the college enrolls 200 students. It plays an important role in
inculcating social awareness and the spirit of service to fellow beings among
students.
The N.S.S unit holds Annual Winter Camp in some remote village, which has
remained socially and economically less developed. The students are assigned plenty
of rigorous outdoor activities. This gives a first hand experience to the students and
inspires them to reach out to the people and render voluntary service.
In addition, the N.S.S unit also organises a number of programmes and activities
throughout the year. Seminars, workshops, streetplays and visits to some social
institution are regularly conducted to enhance social sense among students.
Through different programmes like Blood donation, Tree plantation, Adult
education, Shramdan, Cleanliness drive, Samarth Bharat Abhiyan, Aids awareness
drive students contribute to the society's welfare.
Personality Development Centre
Under this centre soft skill development programme is arranged for T.Y.BA/B.Com student. It is important to improve the overall personality development of student.
Competitive Exam and Career Development Cell
Under this cell various career development programme in different fields and ongoing competitive examination undertaken for the benefits of students.
